The story
One hundred days ago, something swallowed the front line and started rebuilding the world into a nest, one block at a time: fields into flesh, towns into cocoons, tanks into beasts. The army that went in first never came back.
Now a tiny unit with a long official name, C.U.B.E., goes in instead, with museum-piece guns, a bomber older than its pilot and a squad leader who keeps getting busted back to private for disobeying the order to retreat.
